Kimberly Sue (Butz) Claire

Kimberly “Kim” Sue (Butz) Claire, 62, of Fowler, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 with her husband by her side.  Kimberly was born September 26, 1960 to James and Jaenett (Mosson) Butz as the oldest of three children. Kim then graduated from Frankfort High School and then from Indiana State University to earn her Bachelors in elementary education.  Kim babysat many years before becoming a teacher’s aid at Sacred heart School from 1998-2007 then became a teacher’s aid at Boswell Elementary from 2007 until retiring in 2020.  Her joy in retirement was taking care of her grandchildren and being a wonderful Gigi.  Kim married Patrick Claire July 11, 1986 and had three children. She was an amazing mom and her children’s biggest supporter.  Kim loved collecting Boyd Bears and Willow Tree figures and was a loyal Cubs fan.  She enjoyed going to the mall to get her favorite Bath & Body Works scent, cucumber melon then going to Yankee Candle store to get her favorite Sparkling Cinnamon candle.  Kim enjoyed the outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, countless trips to the zoo with grandkids, family vacations to Holiday World, baking with grandkids but truly just spending time with her family.  She will be remembered as one-of-a-kind who was loved by so many and touched many more lives.  Kim is survived by parents, husband, Patrick, children, Kelsee (Jerrin) Burk, twins, Taylor Claire and Colin (Hailie Robinson) Claire, 5 grandchildren with one on the way; Paisley, Reese, Emersyn, Nash, Walker and “Freddy Pickles”, sister, Pam Butz, brother, Tom Butz, sister-in-law, Mellanie (Jack) Fingerle as well as a host of extended family and friends.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7pm Friday, March 10, 2023 and Saturday March 11, 2023 from 10am until the funeral hour at 11am in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Peter Vanderkolk officiating.  Committal will be thereafter at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School or Benton Community Schools. Arrangements entrusted to Gerts, Windler & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Fowler Chapel 506 E.
