Myra J. (Hufty) Miiller

Myra J. Miiller, 82 of Goodland IN / Fort Myers FL  passed away at her home Friday, February 2nd, 2024 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.  Myra was born July 6, 1941 in Watseka, IL.  She was a graduate of AJ Kent High School in Kentland, class of 1959.  She married Gordon Miiller November 12, 1960, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kentland, IN.

Myra and Gordon lived in Goodland IN where they raised their family.  Myra worked part-time at the Goodland Bank for many years.  She enjoyed playing Bridge, spending time at the beach, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

Gordon lost his own battle with cancer in 2012 and Myra later moved full-time to their home in Fort Myers FL.  On July 27, 2017 she married Paul Thompson who survives Myra.  In addition to Paul, are Myra and Gordon’s four sons and their families:  Jeff Miiller (wife: Mary) of Goodland, Keith Miiller (wife: Annette) of Indianapolis, Ron Miiller (wife: Trish, deceased) of Fort Myers, and Craig Miiller (wife: Ann) of Floyds Knobs.  Myra has eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is her brother John Hufty (wife: Mary Beth).  Myra was preceded in death by her parents Clarice and Robert Hufty and her brother Robert Lowell Hufty.

Visitation will be held at the funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00pm (CST) Sunday, February 11th.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kentland, Indiana Monday, February 12th at 11:00am CDT with interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Goodland, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Myra’s name to the American Cancer Society.
