Charles “Chuck” Lucterhand, 69, of Remington, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2024, in Tampa, Florida.
Chuck was born July 22, 1955 in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Denneth “Lucky” and Virginia Lucterhand. He was a 1973 graduate of Tri-County High School and also graduated from International Business College in 1975. Chuck married Channell Herrera on September 23, 2016.
Chuck was the owner of Classic Times in Remington for over a decade. He owned and operated Remington Goodland Wolcott Mini-Storage. Chuck enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Bears and White Sox. Chuck was never a fan of Indiana winters. In 2022 he moved his family south for warmer temperatures and to make memories in his “Happy Place”, Lake Placid, Florida, where he spent time enjoying his boat and avoiding the cold.
He is survived by his wife, son, Andrew, two nieces, Savanah and Sierra and nephews, Scott and Todd Donahue. Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, James Openshaw Jr. and sister, Judy Donahue.
Visitation will be held Friday September 20, 2024, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. CST at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Remington Cemetery with Rick Gerts officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post 280 of Remington, PO Box 348 Remington, IN 47977
