Fredrick Tomlinson Miller, 81, of Kentland, IN passed away March 24, 2025. Fred was born the son of the late, Frederick Willmore and Mary Margaret (Tomlinson) Miller on October 1, 1943. Fred told stories to anyone that would listen. Those stories are now a part of us, his family. Fred was active as a Boy Scout leader. He lived his whole life in Newton County and worked a wide range of jobs from construction with his family at Miller Brothers to factory work at UARCO. He enjoyed playing cards with his cousins, and traveling with his wife. He would travel any distance to catch all types of events that his grandkids were involved in. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge. Fred is survived by his wife, Carolyn (whom he married March 25, 1995). Sons: Jon (Lori) Miller, Kenneth Scott (Connie) Miller, and Jeff (Stacy) Casper. Daughters: Jennifer (Bruce) Wolfe, and Jessica (Michael) Etter-Largent, 12 grandkids and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by is wife Sally James Miller (whom he married May 11, 1964 until her passing from an extended illness) and his son Troy Miller. Fred always said, “Nothing makes me happier than seeing all my kids.”
A graveside service will be announced at a later date on the funeral home website. The graveside will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland.
