Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Kirsch, 89, of Boswell, died February 4, 2025. Jerry was born October 24, 1935, the son of Wilfred and Mariam (Dick) Kirsch in Dunnington, IN. He was a graduate of Freeland Park high school and served in the Army National Guard.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dunnington and St. Patrick’s in Oxford. He was a lifelong farmer in the Dunnington area. He enjoyed woodworking and was quite skilled as well as tended to his flower garden. His passion was collecting and restoring antique tractors, particularly steel-wheel prairie tractors. He missed his beloved donkey, “Fancy”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bob and Gene.
He is survived by his children, Terry Kirsch, Randy Kirsch, Kelli Anderson, sister, Betty Davenport, grandchildren, Ashlee, Keith and Jesi, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM (EST), Thursday, February 13, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dunnington, IN until the hour of Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Sean Aaron officiating.
