Henrietta H. (Herbst) Messman

Henrietta H. Messman has passed on to be with her Lord in Heaven on May 5, 2022, and Heaven has been blessed with her presence. The angels and the saints who have been anxiously awaiting her arrival are dancing at the opportunity to greet her.

Henrietta was preceded to Heaven by several others in her family: parents, Joseph and Frieda Herbst; sister, Arlene; husband of 57 years, John W. Messman; sister, Leona; brother, Albert. She leaves two sons on this earth to carry on in her absence: Steven (Carol) and Clifford (Kittie) Messman. She also leaves two brothers, Lawrence and Warren; two sisters, Roberta Borden and Donna Cooley. She had four grandchildren: Dawn Schaeffer, Jason Messman, Justin Messman, and Travis Messman. She also had nine great-grandchildren: Mason and Gabe Schaeffer; Alec, Dylan, Kylee, Jeremiah, Noah, Elizabeth, and Arlo Messman, with one more Messman on the way in August.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to the American Heart Association, http://heart.org.

A mass will be given to honor Henrietta at 11am, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fowler, IN. Mass immediately followed by graveside service at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fowler, Indiana.

A meal will be provided at the Sacred Heart School gymnasium immediately after the graveside service hosted by the Saint Anne Society.
