John “Butch” Patrick Donahue, 79, of Goodland, passed away at his home Monday, February 3, 2025.
Butch was born December 15, 1945 to the late Glen and Mary (Weller) Donahue. He was a 1964 graduate of Goodland High School and lifelong resident of Goodland. He retired from the Town of Goodland after over 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan (Sheets) Donahue and were married September 9, 1972. As well as his wife, he is survived by sister, Rosemary (John) Haan, children, Shelly (Matthew) Anaman, Dawn "Micki" Pauley, Brian (Brenda) Donahue, five grandchildren, Rachael, James (Alexa), Kelsey, Dean (Alexis), Mary, two great-grandchildren, Camren and Oakland, with two more on the way. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dick, Don and Joe.
Butch and Sue always enjoyed their daily cruises around town and they would always cruise out to the country to check on the family farm where Butch spent his childhood. Most who knew them and their daily routine, knew what time of day it was when they would drive by.
In keeping with Butch’s wishes, there will be no formal services. The family will have a private memorial at the family farm.
