Madison Grace Hall, 18, of Oxford, Indiana, passed away with her parents, Lee J Hall and Felisha Jean Hall, and the family dog, Lottie, on the way home from Charleston Speedway on October 2, 2022.
Madison was born in Lafayette, Indiana on Mother’s Day, May 9th, 2004 to Lee J and Felisha Jean (Buyno) Hall. She has one brother, Lee Joseph, and a niece, Willow Grace Hall.
Madison attended Boswell Elementary School. She graduated from Benton Central Jr. / Sr. High School with the class of 2022 in May. Madison had a passion for loving everything life had to offer. She lived it to the fullest in her short time. That smile will last a lifetime in our memories of her. Madison always had an activity she was involved in. Madison was an active member of FFA. She was the FFA district treasurer for 2021 and 2022. She won 1st place in the FFA Persuasive Essay District Leadership Development Event in 2022. She was in the Super High Mileage Club, where she was the crew chief and driver, Photography Club, Academic Bowls, Spanish National Honor Society, and National Honor Society. She was a 10-year 4-H member in Benton County. Over the 10 years, she showed several classes of rabbits and then moved up to Boer goats. She had several other projects and posters in electricity that went on to the Indiana State Fair. The Boer goats became her favorite to show, picking up where her big brother left off in 4-H. She put so much time and effort into the care of the goats, from getting up early in the mornings to late night birthings. She bottle-fed several goats over the years. Her list of accomplishments in 4-H is outstanding. She won Grand Champion in Creative Writing for 2019, 2021; Grand Champion 4-H % Boer Doe Goat 2017, 2018, 2019; Grand Champion Commercial Doe 2021, 2022; Reserve Grand Champion Full Blooded Doe 2022; Grand Champion Bottle Raised 2022; 2022 Goats Herdsmanship; Best Decorated Stall Award; Grand Champion Electric 2020, 2022; Best of Show Goat 2019, 2021; Reserve Best of Show 2022.

She won Outstanding Agriculture Senior Award, Outstanding Language Arts Student, Martin Luther King Jr. State Essay Finalist, Super High Milage Scholarship, BC Technology Scholarship, Benton County Extension Homemakers Scholarship, Benton Education Association Scholarship, Boswell Alumni Scholarship, Martin Gick Family Farms Scholarship, James P. Brouillette Agriculture Scholarship, Council For Academics Excellence Award, Elizabeth Davies - Ellis Scholarship, Technical Honors Diploma, Academic Honors Diploma, and 4.0 GPA Club Award. Madison was accepted into Purdue University where she was studying agriculture education. The Purdue College of Agriculture scholarships included Wayne & Barbara Jennings Memorial Scholarship, J. Kelly O’Neall & Margaret Richey O’Neill Memorial Scholarship, and Charlotte Ann Russell Scholarship. She was only there a few weeks, but had already made wonderful friends and made such an impression on every instructor. Madison worked at the Tastee Treet in Boswell in the summers and then at Menards.
Lee J, Felisha, and Lee Joseph showed their support in everything Madison was involved with. She was the light of the world. When you remember Madison, remember her smile, her giggle, her love, and genuine sweetness. Remember her when you shop and find a good deal, when you read a beautiful piece of writing, see a sunset, pet a goat or any animal, go to the fair, and watch a race.
