Paul Franklin Bilyeu, 83, of Rensselaer, passed away November 15, 2024, at George Ade Memorial Home. He was born November 3, 1941, in Rensselaer, Indiana to, the late, Marshall and Mildred (Nehring) Bilyeu.
Paul graduated from Rensselaer Central High School. Paul worked as an independent welder for Bilyeu & Eaton and for Monon Trailers. He loved to cheer on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, listen and attend gospel music concerts, and was an avid word-fill-in puzzler. He was an active member of the Tri-County Bible Church where he was known as the “candy man”.
Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosalind (Vaughan) Bilyeu; his four children, Ron Bilyeu, Julie (Chris) Belpasso, Faith (Scott) Barton, and Adam (Mara) Bilyeu; and eleven grandchildren, Shara (Josh) Lowman, Hayley (Kyle) Brown, Felicia (Dalton) Hancher, Philip (Carinah Herrero) Belpasso, Ashley Barton, Amanda Barton, Allen (Lilly Misch) Barton, Abigail (Brennen) Dodd, Reese Bilyeu, Alex Bilyeu, Madelyn Bilyeu, and six great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law, Peg (Anderson) Bilyeu, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Dan Bilyeu.
A visitation will be held 9-11am (CST) Friday, November 22, 2024 with a memorial service to follow at 11am at Tri-County Bible Church, 5856 W 1050 S, Rensselaer, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tri-County Bible Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Rensselaer.
